We thought dickies were for another generation, as in they’ve never really seemed fashion forward.

A couple of months ago, we saw a dickie at the Marc store, followed by a string of Tory Burch sweater versions. Then, just this past week, we encountered a dickie dress from See By Chloe, one of our favorite lines. What’s going on here?

We understand the practicality – it’s like two pieces in one!

But there’s something so old-fashioned (and kind of funny) about it – plus, we’ve perfected the art of comfortably layering a thin sweater over our favorite Steven Alan button-down anyway. So what’s the point?

Would you wear a dickie? Or do you think you’re layering skills are enough?

Got Her: Heading south on Mott Street just below Prince.

Stalked Her: Because her (literally) head to toe blue look was just oh so Pantone 2008.

Shot Her: Because upon closer inspection, we realized she was wearing one of those puffy jackets we’ve always hated, but in a way we didn’t hate.

She Says: “The jacket is Armani Exchange, the bag is Marc Jacobs, the shoes are DKNY, and the jeans – I have no idea. I dyed my hair blue back in Moscow, where I work as a DJ under the name ‘Le Bleu.’”

We Say: Stand alone, Le Bleu!

The whole thing is quite funny, especially since Courtney’s MySpace was sending messages last month asking for excellent web designers – we guess they were for Marc.

As for the new page, those of you who were first friends with Marc won’t see anything too new, until you check out his photo section, where you can view pictures of Marc with Mary Kate, Marc with Irina… and Marc with Christina Aguilera, at her husband Jordan Bratman’s hula-themed birthday party.

Yes, really.

In fact, there are so many photos, we suspect Marc will transfer the Hawaii vibe to next year’s Christmas party, just so everyone can wear swimsuits and get lei’d…

Helmed by the American Heart Association, the event is attended by Laura Bush and has included Lindsay Lohan, Fergie, and Sheryl Crow in the past.

This year, the show gets backing from the Coca Cola Company, and a brand new star on the runway:

Heidi Klum.

Today the Project Runway princess announced she’ll hit the Heart Truth show wearing a red Marc Jacobs gown – practice, maybe, for when she’ll have to do catwalk duty again during the Project Runway exhibit on February 8.

Klum also claims she’ll wear a red Galliano dress to the Oscars, and later auction it for the Heart Truth charity, but that rumor may be false – after all, if the Writer’s Strike doesn’t get cleared soon, there may not be any Oscars at all…

Here is a very interesting picture of MJ at David and Victoria Beckham’s mansion in LA a few days ago.

They had a dinner party chez casa Beckham.

Lots of campness and bitchy gossiping from Marc and Posh; imagine!

Ummmm…. we have no idea where this photo came from or what, exactly, is going on, but 1) It’s awfully interesting that Marc was in L.A. on the same schedule as Hedi Slimane and Kate Moss, right? 2) Wow. That’s a lot of Posh for one morning.

Coffee, anyone?

All they could confirm was what we already knew – that there’s no way the ads are real Marc.

It looks like nobody has any idea who shot them, or even the identity of the two guys who played dress-up for it.

Our bet goes to a Parsons photography student making a show of his final project. In which case, we’ll all be dancing at the exhibit opening in no time.

Seriously, actually, tell us because we have no idea… and unlike when we pretended we didn’t know which band was playing at the MJ show in February, this time we really don’t know!

We heard from someone working with Marc that tonight’s show is a Sonic Youth concert, with a stage instead of a runway, a stadium seating plan instead of a catwalk alley, and basically pandemonium point five. Is it true? We’ll find out in… well, either one hour or four hours, depending on when, exactly, the clothes are ready. Place your bets.
